1. Introduction

Keeply ("the App") is operated by Snowline LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our App.

Keeply is designed with a privacy-first approach. All photo and video processing happens entirely on your device. We do not have access to your photos, videos, or any personal content.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Keeply does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Your photos, videos, or screenshots
• Photo metadata (location, date, camera info)
• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Browsing or usage history that can identify you
• Device identifiers linked to your identity

There is no user account, no sign-in, and no registration required to use Keeply.

3. On-Device Processing

All of Keeply's core features run entirely on your device using Apple Silicon:

• Duplicate detection — Photo and video analysis is performed locally. No images are uploaded to any server.
• Video compression — Video encoding and transcoding happen on-device. Compressed files are saved to your photo library.
• Storage analysis — Storage calculations are computed locally from metadata in your photo library.

4. Crash Reporting (Sentry)

We use Sentry, a third-party service, to collect crash reports and performance diagnostics. This helps us identify and fix bugs to improve app stability.

What Sentry collects:

• Crash logs and stack traces
• Device model and iOS version
• App version and build number
• General performance metrics (app launch time, memory usage)

What Sentry does NOT collect:

• Photos, videos, or any media content
• Personal information or user identifiers
• Location data

Crash data is not linked to your identity. Sentry's privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.

5. Photo Library Access

Keeply requests access to your photo library to scan for duplicates and compress videos. This access is:

• Read-only for scanning — Keeply reads your photo library metadata and image data for analysis.
• User-initiated writes only — Deletion and compression are performed only when you explicitly confirm the action.
• Revocable — You can revoke photo library access at any time in iOS Settings.

6. In-App Purchases

Keeply offers a one-time in-app purchase (Keeply Pro) processed through Apple's App Store. We do not handle any payment information. All transactions are managed by Apple under their Privacy Policy.

Since we do not collect personal data from your device, there is nothing to retain or delete on our end. Crash logs collected by Sentry are automatically purged after 90 days. All local data (duplicate scan results, compression history) remains on your device under your control.

9. International Data Transfers

Keeply processes your photos and videos entirely on your device — no user content crosses any border. The only data that may be transferred internationally is anonymous crash reporting data sent to Sentry's infrastructure. Sentry processes data in the United States and maintains appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10. Legal Basis for Processing

Where required by applicable law (including GDPR/UK GDPR), we process information under the following bases:

• Legitimate interests — to collect anonymous crash data for improving app stability and reliability
• Legal obligations — where processing is required by law

All photo and video processing occurs entirely on your device and does not involve our servers, so no legal basis for server-side processing is required for core app functionality.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including access, deletion, correction, portability, and objection. Because Keeply does not collect personal data on our servers (only anonymous crash data via Sentry), most rights requests are limited by the absence of identifiable data.

California residents may have rights under CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and delete personal information. We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

12. Children's Privacy

Keeply does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the App does not collect personal data from any user, it is inherently compliant with children's privacy regulations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
